Qatar: Qatar Civil Aviation Authority has announced the partial resumption of its repatriation flights from capital Doha through designated navigational contingency routes with limited operational capacity, in full coordination with the Qatari Armed Forces and the relevant authorities, reported Qatar News Agency.

This phase includes the operation of a limited number of flights designated for passenger evacuation, in addition to the operation of air cargo flights, in light of the current circumstances in the region, and in a manner that ensures the continued provision of essential air services.

Qatar Airways is today (March 7) operating repatriation flights departing from Hamad International Airport to the following airports: London (LHR), Paris (CDG), Madrid (MAD), Rome (FCO) and Frankfurt (FRA).

The priority on these flights was given to stranded passengers with families, elderly passengers, and those with urgent medical and compassionate travel needs. Each flight was pre-allocated by Qatar Airways directly to such affected passengers, stated the report.

The airline affirmed that it is continuing its round-the-clock efforts to organize additional evacuation flights when operational conditions allow, noting that travelers will be provided with further updates as soon as they are confirmed.

It also clarified that this step does not constitute the resumption of scheduled operations, as Qatar Airways continues to temporarily suspend its flights while Qatar's airspace remains closed.
