Kuwait: Health Assurance Hospitals Company (DHAMAN) recently organized a series of biomedical engineering events to celebrate international Healthcare Technology Management Week (HTM). DHAMAN Biomedical Engineering Manager Hussain Al-Sayegh said: “Our activities during HTM Week aim to raise awareness about healthcare technology as a growing field of interest for many engineers and technicians.” DHAMAN’s webinars addressed major topics, such as health technology top 10 innovations, the need for health technology assessment organizations, as well as HTM challenges and prospects, he noted.

Sayegh added: “We hosted both public and internal activities during HTM Week with the participation of experts from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Lebanon to discuss various aspects of healthcare technology management for the benefit of biomedical engineers at DHAMAN and other organizations in terms of education, careers and development. In addition, the speakers shared their experience and outlook with other biomedical engineering professionals to establish common practices and build a network to advance this vital part of the healthcare sector.”
